Parallel Architecture is a trading name of Robbie Thompson Design Ltd (company 10355527) and James Nicholson Design Ltd (company 13960890). Both companies act as data controllers for personal data handled through this website. This page explains what we collect, why, and your rights under UK data protection law.

What we collect and why

This website has no user accounts, no forms that submit to a server, and no marketing list. When you contact us, you do so by email; we then hold your name, contact details and whatever you tell us about your project. We use that information to respond to your enquiry and, if we work together, to carry out the appointment. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and, where an appointment follows, the performance of a contract.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking. That is deliberate, and it is why there is no cookie banner.

Who processes data for us

• Cloudflare hosts this website and, like any host, processes visitor IP addresses in its server logs to serve pages and protect the site.
• The site's typeface files are currently served by Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the files load. We plan to serve fonts from this site directly, at which point this disclosure will be removed.
• Email and project records are held in the practice's business systems (email hosting and file storage, including Dropbox).

How long we keep information

Enquiry correspondence that does not lead to an appointment is kept for up to two years, then deleted. Project records for appointed work are kept for at least fifteen years, in line with professional indemnity insurance requirements.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict our use of it, and to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). To exercise any of these, email info@parallelarchitecture.co.uk.

Changes

If how the site works changes, for example if analytics or a form are ever added, this page will be updated first and any necessary consent put in place before the change goes live.
